Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Drop dead line had past, and I'm still holding my 18 credit hours! Gosh, I can imagine the tough weeks ahead...

Anyway, CNY is just 3 days away. Guess how am I going to celebrate it? Begging for money on the streets of Ann Arbor!! Yup, I will be doing my second-hour bucketing to raise funds for ASB (Alternative Spring Break). The first experienced was, erm, kind of scary. Did it on the past Sunday, and just got like 9 USD for an hour. It's fun to see the reaction of people though, majority of them just avoid having eye contact with you when they see you from far...

Having a potluck dinner this Saturday though. At least there's something to do for CNY. Must give credits to UMIMSA which is organizing this event..thanks!

Winter semester 2006

It's 2006 now, and you can't blame people for being extraordinarily ambitious at the beginning of the year. This is why I'm challenging myself with 5 classes which totalled to 18 credit hours. They are:

Math 424 - Compound Interest and Life Insurance
Econ 402 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory
Econ 406 - Introduction to Econometrics
Econ 435 - Financial Economics
Geosci 451 - Introductory Earth Structure

I always have the ominous feeling that somehow I'm going to drop one of them. The drop-add deadline is less than one week from now, and hopefully I won't have to drop any of these classes. May the whatever force be with me!! 3 more tough months ahead...livestrong Keng Yang!!! (hahaha..what kind of post is this?)

Winter Break 2005

So, I am back in Ann Arbor, after a truly fun trip to Seattle and Vancouver. Although Seattle and Vancouver were not as interesting as New York, the overall experience was great, thanks to the good company (Ren Jie, Jin Ye, Mel, Vivian, Sher Mern, Kenny).

Since the duration of this trip was about 14 days, to write a day-to-day account of this vacation is erm, a thing which I wouldn't want to attempt. I strongly believe that a picture speaks more than a thousand words. Therefore, I am going to attach some pictures here and a link to my online album:

  • More Seattle+Vancouver photos

  • Group photo in Stanley Park (Vancouver)

    Grouse Mountain (we skied there!!)

Group photo in front of first Starbucks in the world! (Seattle)

    Vancouver City Skyline
